Magnesium is represented in the human body with 25 mg. Two thirds of this is in the bones. But magnesium also exists in the muscular tissue, kidneys, liver, thyroid gland, red blood cells, as well as in the brain. The concentration in the blood amounts to 1.7 – 2.3 mg%. Deficiency symptoms can be very manifold. They vary from disorders in the brain to cardiac sickness and gastro-intestinal diseases. Muscle cramps are an early symptom and occur most frequently.
